ASL – Day 6
I know.. I know.. I missed days 3 and 4.
Never have I been in a classroom where less is spoken in my entire life. This is perfect for me. If I could go an entire day without speaking, I would be content. I love the immersive aspect of things. I love the fact that I am learning something that is useful.
Today is the first day that Mesa starts to enforce the parking permits. So I had to go buy a $5 permit. Probably will have to buy a full permit as it is going to be $10 a week… $40 a month… $120 for the semester… but if I lay $40 down, I can get a parking permit.
I have been to a few campus’s in my life time. PCC, SDSU, UCLA, USC, Pepperdine, Grossmont, and UNF come to mind. I really like how Mesa is set up, it is small, very quaint and everything is nearby. Grossmont is spread out and the buildings look like they are from the 1950′s. I really like SDSU and PCC if I had to rank them. UCLA, USC, and Pepperdine are way too spread out. UNF I enjoyed, but it was one of those places I just never felt comfortable in.
If I can knock out ASL I this term and then knock out ASL 2 in the fall, i will have positioned myself pretty well. The last core class I have is College Algebra, which I am not looking forward to. Spring of 2011 will be interesting, that is when I will have to crash some classes at SDSU to get my old GPA back up so that I can actually attend classes again. I am almost sure it is going to require that freaking linguistics class that tormented me. I still remember the first paper I got back in the class, jerkoff teacher writes, “Did you take English class in high school?” That pretty much killed any aspirations of graduating right there. Hopefully he has passed away by now.
It is 415 right now, class is in an hour. The mesa library has free internet service, so I am rather content sitting onthe third floor overlooking the campus, surfing around.
